January 2.Style Pet Carpet Cleaner.First off, let me start by saying, I have 4 cats, a Labrador retriever and 2 male humans that also live inside the house with me.The main mess is the oldest female cat, who hates anything but herself, so she pees on the carpet. If you put a clean, new cat box where she pees, she will pee next to it or make a new spot elsewhere. She was born and spent the first 4 months of her life in a cage in the pound so she has issues, we will leave it at that.Construction Cleaning And Home Prep Business Software' title='Construction Cleaning And Home Prep Business Software' />With this many ideas to choose from, you have no excuse not to get started today with your own service business. No one else soils the carpet only she does.Unless they are sick.Nuff said So we are talking a daily weedle or two in the same spot on the carpet.I have always used my Little Green Machine to clean this up, but after paying a pro company to come do the entire job for 1.I decided I should save the money and buy one of these things based on the reviews on here.Imagine a cleaner, brighter, more sustainable future for your business. You can start enjoying that future today with commercial cleaning solutions from 3M.I did not purchase this machine on Amazon.Costco. com at a better discount.I love this machine and do recommend it highly.PROS 1. Cleans and fluffs the carpet better than two national PROFESSIONAL carpet cleaning chains that I have used.I have 1. 0 year old white carpet purchased prior to adopting this goofy cat and was about to replace it due to it being matted down husband works from home and refuses to take off his shoes when he enters and leaves the home and also due to it just being soaked with this cats urine for the last 8 years now and this really seemed to do the trick to help us put off buying hardwood floors for this area for several months now This machine, if you move it slow enough like the instructions TELL YOU TO will suck almost all of the water back out.I have been able to turn on the ceiling fan, shampoo an entire extra large area and move furniture back to bone dry carpet within 4 hours each time I have used it.Pro companies I have had to leave furniture off the area or up on the foam blocks for days each time. You must move the machine slowly though and make 2 3 passes over the area. You can see the dirty waterfoam still coming back up in the machine, so you will know when you have gotten most of it out.I make 3 slow passes, fwdbackward, fwdbackward, fwdbackward and the carpet is nearly dry to the touch only slightly moist. Not wet. Not damp. You can walk on it with sox and tell it is dry after 3 4 hours.Works very well at stain removal using just the beater barfloor tool and no attachmenthand held for tough foot traffic stains.I have not used it to remove set in pet stains so far as I use a cat urine eliminator Get Serious to remove the cat urine smell and it also removes the stains.I havent tried to remove old urine stains yet with it since I have none after having used GET SERIOUS.It does remove yellowed spots where I have allowed the cat urine to set for long periods because it was behind a piece of furniture that only gets moved once a month when we move it to vac under it, but a month is hardly time to judge a yellow urine stain as set in.I have removed brown rust colored stains that the last professional carpet shampooer company brought up Funny, they were in the middle of an open room and at the base of our stairs where no stain was prior to their coming and the stain wasnt there until we refused for the umpteenth time their attempt to up sell us on worthless products and I had previously been unable to get that stain out using my Little Green Machine without it coming back up to the surface after a few weeks.I have only had this machine two weeks and have used it on the room 3 times in order to do a deep thorough clean and also to try and get some pet hair out.I have used it in spots, too but only a total room clean 3 times.Heavy duty machine, not lightweight, so you know you are getting a quality, well made, works well product Super easy to clean for storage after use.The machine comes apart very easy and it is also easy to remove the beater barbrush on the floorfront and rinse it out to remove all of that catdog hair from my many pets.I have A LOT of hair each time I use it.Simply run it under the faucet and everything rinses out.It also tells you in the instructions to use it with hot water cycle through at the end before you store it for a long period of time.I do this with my Little Green Machine, too, but not quite what they are telling you to do, so dont do what I do because it isnt what they are telling you to do.I set a bowl in the sink, turn the faucet on to hot tap water, run the water in the bowl, then stick the nozzle into the bowl and let it suck up clean water until the tank fills empty, repeat, empty repeat, until the dirty water tank is running clear. That gets the soap and residue out of the lines along the way on both my Little Green as well as this machine, using the hand held hose attachment. You can remove the beater bar VERY EASILY and run it under the faucet to clear it from the soap, hair, etc.It only weighs 2 pounds, tops.Super easy to clean. It has large wheels on the back of the machine so that when you need to move it from one place to another and you arent using the motor i.The machine is NOT self propelled, going to the heavy duty con below.I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH how well this thing picks up hair and carpet fuzz I would never have thought that a carpet that is 1.Dyson and shampooed PROFESSIONALLY twice a year would have any fuzz left, let alone tons of pet hair and let me tell you, this thing brings it up.I did shampoo the room twice over once through, then go back again and it was AS FULL the second time of pet hair as it was the first.AMAZING Made me want to immediately do a third time over, but alas, my bad back was out after two times over this extra large room of carpet. It will occasionally leave long strands of matted fuzz and fur in its wake when I am using it.This could also be considered a CON because you have to bend over and pick these up all over the carpet.Lazy. I know. CONS 1.Heavy. I know. I just said in 4 above that it was great it was heavy and dont get me wrong, it is great and I wouldnt change that fact, but that is just a con for some people who cant do heavy for medical physical reasons and I get that.I like the dry carpet more than I need a lightweight cleaner.Heavy duty motor sucks the water out, lightweight motor Not so much.I had another Bissell about 1.Ended up in the dumpster after a year.If weight is an issue for you, you may want to think about it.As others have stated, if you go to dump out the waste water in the tank, you will more than likely lose some of your cleanerclean water. The alternative to this is, go figure, dont dump the dirty tank until it is full. There is a line on the tank that reads full when the dirty water gets up that high.I also have found that when you turn it a certain way to empty, you run less risk of emptying out your clean watersoap bladder than if you just dump it out in a rush.If you turn it where the empty hole is furthest away from you, the clean water fill hole is at the top, you run less risk of emptying out the good water. Also, if I wait for the sprayerclean water to empty, then I havent got a problem.I also will just fill it half full.We are talking tablespoons of the clean soap that you are using by the time you fill a full tank and then use most of it.The clean tank only requires a few ozs.It isnt that big of a deal to me to lose a few ozs of soap, but to some it may be.The hair trap a small red square tray doesnt work so well.Is it a big deal I dont know.It may be for some.It is a hassle to have to scoop hairs off the top of the bladder when you are going to reuse it right away rather than just emptying the little trap.Does it affect performanceIt hasnt so far that I know of.I know that it is more hassle to clean the tank with loose hair in the tank and stuck to the bladder. You have to watch it going down your drain so you arent dumping pet hair and carpet fuzzies down the drain. It just means that I have to lift the bladder that holds the soapclean water and shift it when I rinse when I am cleaning it to put it away.I dont know if that means it gets into any part of the machines motor or not though.Someone more technical than me can possibly answer that question.Cord is about 1. 2 too short.
